Bourbon Women is celebrating their 10 year anniversary and just named a new President, Maggie Kimberl. Founded by Peggie Noe Stevens, the association was created to support and empower women in the whiskey industry and female whiskey consumers.
Kimberl founded bourbonveach.com, a whiskey history and news site, and has also been a contributor and/or editor for major whiskey publications including The Bourbon Review, Whisky Magazine, American Whiskey Magazine, and The Alcohol Professor, among others.
As President of Bourbon Women, she’s passionate about empowering women to step out of the more traditional roles women have often held in the world of whiskey which would open up the entire industry for growth and innovation. She’s also a staunch advocate of diversity and inclusivity.
