Priam Vineyard

Located in Colchester, CT, Priam Vineyard is a beautiful spot well worth visiting! Established in 1998, Priam is the first vineyard in New England to go fully solar powered in 2010. They have 40 acres of sustainably cultivated farmland and grow 10 different grape varieties. On offer are 16 wines (all certified vegan – also the first winery in CT to do so) and a host of events, including live music, food trucks, cheese and wine pairing seminars, and much more. They are also a stunning venue for events such as weddings, with ample outdoor seating and spacious lawns. Open year round for tours, tastings, and bottle sales, you can read more about Priam Vineyard, their hours and offerings, here.

The day we went it was absolutely hopping, but we received prompt service to get our bottle of wine. Sadly, the live music was over (the sign out front was misleading on that point), but the atmosphere was still lively. We found a quiet garden area away from the noise and thoroughly enjoyed the rose. They have over a dozen wines available, suitable for all palettes, so again, this is a winery you won’t want to miss.
