As Autumn is upon us, I think it’s apropos to highlight a local cidery. Yankee Cider Company is located in East Haddam, CT and specializes in producing New England style hard ciders made from locally grown apples (they’re also CT’s first farm cidery tap room). You can get cider by the glass, bomber, or growler, along with tasty snacks (the cinnamon cashews are divine!) or order something from the food truck. They have a rotating list of craft ciders that range from dry to all levels of sweet, and the staff is great at offering samples so you can find the style that best suits your taste buds! They recently opened their doors, but they’re associated with Staehly Farms and Winery, which was established in 1985. Along with the ciders, you can also try the Staehly wines if that’s more your vibe. Or, since it’s the season for it, why not go pick your own apples and then enjoy a refreshing cider?? They have so many options and present a very nice vibe. Well worth checking out!
